The recently renovated Ang Mo Kio Central Hawker Center is an avenue of foodie goodies for the food lover. In the very beginnings of the blog, I put up a review of an excellent western food stall (Read Review : Vincent's Western Food) and just three stalls down the row, there is another excellent stall selling Fried Oyster Omelette (Hor luack ) ... er I think that is how its spelt.
The oyster omelette was fragrant and crispy ( a A++ for that =) and they were very generous in their servings of oysters. Priced at $4/$5, the dish is rather reasonable and value for money, considering that this is top grade hor-luack.
Mmmm Fried Oyster Omelette...Crispy to the bite!
My only concern was the chili sauce that accompanied it. I am used to eating Fried Oyster Omelette with a very sour chili sauce that had bits of chili in it (perhaps the example of authenticity..I'm not sure). This chili was found to be a tad watery and not sour enough. So perhaps you could ask for another lime if you prefer yours with a little more kick.
Nonetheless, an excellent dish at an affordable price.
